• The annual inflation rate was -1.5 percent for the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to -0.8 percent for the third quarter of the same year.
• The average annual inflation for December 2024 is 1.2 percent

QUARTERLY CHANGES

The Clothing & Textiles group index has the biggest quarterly increase of 7.6 percent, influenced by:

• The Clothing’s index which increased by 7.8 percent

The Alcohol & Tobacco group index increased by 3.6 percent, influenced by:

• The Tobacco index which increased by 3.6 percent

The Housing group increased slightly by 0.02 percent, influenced by:

• Fuel & Electricity index which increased by 1.4 percent.

ANNUAL CHANGES

The Housing group items had the highest annual contribution to CPI which increased
by 4.5 percent, influenced by;

• House Maintenance index increased by 18.0 percent.
• An increase of 5.9 percent in Fuel & Electricity

The Alcohol & Tobacco group increased by 4.1 percent, influenced by:

• Tobacco index increased by 5.6 percent.

The Clothing & Textiles group increased by 3.7 percent, influenced by:

• Clothing’s index increased 4.6 percent.
